PORTRAIT OF LOVE

From the classic Thai movie ‘Santi-Vina’ – the very first Thai film to be shot in 35 mm format. The movie tells the love story of a poor blind boy named Santi and Vina the Thai folk dancer falling each other in Loy Kratong night.

Kloset Spring / Summer 2022 reflexing the love story into the portrait of love by using the scenery from the film, such as the lotus in Loy Kratong night has become the main graphic print.

The color palette in this collection is a variety of pastel palettes such as pink, light blue, purple, and yellow. Silhouette from traditional Thai folk dancer and Thai clothes adapted into nowadays outfits and perfect match in everyday life.

แรงบันดาลใจจากภาพยตร์ไทยคลาสสิค “สันติ-วีณา” ภาพยนต์ไทยเรื่องยาวเรื่องแรกที่ถ่ายทำด้วยฟิล์มสี 35 มม. ซึ่งเป็นเรื่องราวความรักของชายตาบอดที่ชื่อสันติ กับสาวนางรำชื่อวีณา ที่พบรักและสารภาพรักกันในคืนวันลอยกระทงท่ามกลางเสียงเพลงรำวง แต่ความรักของทั้งสองไม่เป็นที่ยอมรับและนำมาซึ่งโศกนาฏกรรม

Kloset Spring / Summer 2022 ได้นำเสนอเรื่องราวความรักครั้งนี้ออกเป็นลายผ้าหลากหลาย เช่น การนำดอกไม้ไทยอย่างดอกบัวที่บานอยู่ในคืนลอยกระทง ลงเป็นกราฟฟิคลายผ้าหลัก เป็นต้น

สีสันต่างๆ ในคอลเลคชั่นสื่อถึงช่วงที่ทั้งสองมีความสุขกันโดยเน้นไปที่สีพาสเทล อาทิ ชมพู, ขาว, ม่วง และเหลือง โดยโครงสร้างเสื้อผ้าของสาวชนบท ผสมผสานกับเครื่องแต่งกายนางละครในยุคนั้น ถูกตัดทอนและดัดแปลงให้เข้ากับยุคสมัยมากยิ่งขึ้นในรูปแบบของ Kloset Spring / Summer 2022 collection “Portrait of Love”
